For years now I have loved photographing engagement sessions at Jump Off Rock just outside of Hendersonville, NC and it was especially perfect for Christina and Nick’s Engagement Session in December. Christina and Nick had a very tight schedule in December and I did as well- if we couldn’t find a time to shoot their engagement session I was going to do bridals of Christina instead. While I love doing bridal sessions- I am very happy we were able to find a time that worked for all of our schedules because their engagement session turned out so beautifully.
Christina and Nick were in town visiting their family near Flat Rock for the holidays and I was also in town with Stephen visiting my parents + brother and his family for Christmas. We only had a one day window where the date was going to work for me to shoot their session (and where they were still going to be in North Carolina) and thankfully the stars were all aligned and we all met up for their session. The weather that day was truly perfect and felt much more like an early day in spring than just a couple days after Christmas. Christina wore the most gorgeous wine colored maxi dress with the perfect leg slit and had gorgeous hair and makeup to compliment her look. Ladies- pro tip from me: if you really want your engagement session photos to have an extra pop, make sure you have your wedding day hair and makeup team also style you for your engagement session (professional hair and makeup really can give that extra oomph of confidence and that shines through in photos). I had so much fun running all around Jump Off Rock with Christina and Nick and I am so in love with their engagement photos- their wedding in March can’t come soon enough.
