Danielle and Andrew’s amazing wedding day in Nashville, TN at Drakewood Farm was a long time in the making! They had to reschedule their wedding several times because of covid, so when their wedding date finally rolled around I knew it was going to be a massive party. Danielle and Andrew met by chance at a friend’s party several years ago in Washington, DC- a party that by both of their accounts one of them almost didn’t go too, but at the last minute changed their mind. When Andrew saw Danielle from across the room, he immediately wanted to talk to her. You see- Andrew had stumbled upon Danielle’s facebook profile years earlier through another mutual friend and even though he didn’t meet her then, fate decided that night…. years later that they would end up at a party together. Andrew confidently told his friends that “one day he was going to marry that girl,” I must say- I said the same thing after the first night of meeting my hubby- Stephen, sometimes you just know. A whirlwind trip to Europe ensued a few months later where they decided to meet up and ended up spending the next several weeks together touring Europe and getting to know each other and the rest is history. Through moves (to New York City), new jobs, new apartments, their love persevered. A few years later on a snowy night just steps from their NYC apartment with their favorite city skyline view in the background, Andrew got down on one knee and proposed and of course Danielle said a resounding, “YES!”
When Andrew and Danielle started planning their wedding they knew that they wanted to do it somewhere that would be halfway for their two families and Tennessee ended up being that perfect halfway meeting point. The rolling hills and scenic wooded ceremony spot at Drakewood Farm fit the bill for what they wanted in their wedding venue and the planning began. There were so many moments that absolutely just got me in the feels- Danielle’s first look with her sweet daddy, the moment where Andrew was reading his vows to Danielle, when Danielle and Andrew signed their Ketubah, and most especially the moment where we stole away outside for some night shots where all we could see was their breath in the cold and the lights strung in the background. I could truly go on and on for days about Andrew and Danielle and how amazing I think they are and how I had the best time shooting their wedding, but I think that to sum up their wedding best I should just let their photos do the talking. Congrats Danielle and Andrew- it was an honor to be apart of your day!
