Kasey and Chad Engagement | Blue Ridge Parkway and Downtown Asheville

Kasey and Chad came into Asheville from Cincinnati for their engagement session! While we had initially chosen another location for their session, the weather had other plans so we went with some backup options. I first took them up on The Blue Ridge Parkway where we were rain free for about ten minutes. Once it started pouring on the Parkway we drove back down into Asheville and I took them to some of my favorite spots downtown. Because of the rain, there were very few people in downtown Asheville so it was nice having some of the best spots all to ourselves. I ended their session at one of my favorite rooftop spots! We weren’t expecting there to be any sunset due to all the rain, but to our surprise when we got to the rooftop a gorgeous light pink sunset popped out. The lighting for the end of their session was truly beautiful and something I don’t think we would have had if the weather had behaved differently earlier in the day. I loved driving all around Asheville with Kasey and Chad (even though we were trying to outrun the rain) because it gave me a chance to get to know them better! I can’t wait for the wedding day next month.
