I met Michaela and Dylon about an hour before sunrise for their engagement session at Bearwallow Mountain. We parked our cars and hiked up the mountain together just before the sun began peeking over the tallest summit of the Hickory Nut Gorge. Dylon wasn’t a fan of the steep hike first thing in the morning, but when we got to the top the view was a thousand times worth it. Bearwallow Mountain is protected land and a part of a working farm, so one of the most interesting things about photographing there is seeing the grazing cattle once you get to the top. This time up there was no exception and we were rewarded after our strenuous hike with the cutest little calf- scroll to the end if you want to see what he looked like. The weather during Micheala and Dylon’s session was ever-changing, we had sunshine and clear skies one minute and then the fog rolled in towards the end of their photos. I joked with Michaela that the weather at their session was every photographer’s dream and it truly upped the ante for the romance in their photos. Can’t wait for their wedding this Fall!
