Alexis + Corey Devil’s Courthouse Engagement Session

I loved shooting Alexis and Corey’s Devil’s Courthouse Engagement Session! Sometimes even the best laid plans don’t work out the way you thought they would. BUT the amazing thing is when they work out even better than you had imagined! Our original plan was to do their session at Craggy Gardens, but the parkway road to get up there was closed that weekend. I looked and looked trying to find a replacement location that offered equally as stunning views. My brother and his wife are avid hikers and suggested Devil’s Courthouse and I am so glad that they did. Devil’s Courthouse is located just past Black Balsam and it is stunning. There are nesting falcons at Devil’s Courthouse right now, so we had to be extra careful to not get in their habitat. Alexis reached out to me after she saw the bridal photos I did for one of her friends. We chatted on the phone and within two days of talking, I was their wedding photographer. We may have been battling the winds, crowds, and having to change in the bushes (haha), but I would 110% shoot their session at the same place, at the same time all over again.
