When I met Andrew and Kaity for their Ivy Place Engagement Session it was a rainy December morning. But when I saw the surroundings at The Ivy Place, the way the rain and early morning haze allowed the fall colors to bleed through, the rain didn’t matter at all. Andrew and Kaity originally came up to Asheville for me to do their engagement session at Craggy Gardens, but what was supposed to be just a cloudy day turned into a torrential downpour with the rain blowing sideways because of the wind. Needless to say, we got rained out and had to reschedule. And I am actually so glad we did because they chose The Ivy Place as the setting for their engagement photos and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The Ivy Place is a picturesque wedding venue in Lancaster, SC with a home that was built in 1850 and multiple old barns, cars, a duck pond…basically everything you could hope for for a unique location. Andrew and Kaity were so sweet together and I have to admit Kaity has the best laugh! This quiet early morning fall session is giving me all the feels and rightly so.
