Cheekwood Nashville Wedding || Ginny & Steve

When Sarah from Social Bliss Events connected me with Ginny and Steve, I instantly felt a spark- Ginny’s deep love for Nashville and Steve’s passion for film photography made them a dream couple for me as a Nashville Wedding Photographer. Sarah and I became friends shortly after I moved to Nashville, and I always love getting the chance to work with her. So when she asked me to photograph Ginny and Steve’s Cheekwood Wedding, I was thrilled! Ginny and Steve live in Brooklyn, but they knew they wanted to get married in Nashville. After attending their maid of honor’s Nashville wedding (also beautifully planned by Sarah), they reached out to her to help bring their own destination wedding vision to life. As a photographer in Nashville, it’s always such a joy when couples from out of town fall in love with this city the way I have.

One of my favorite wedding venues in Nashville is Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. It’s a dream location for wedding photography- the historic mansion, gardens, and the stunning reflection pool are all perfect backdrops. I’ve shot at a lot of venues over the years, but there’s something timeless and romantic about Cheekwood that keeps calling me back. Ginny and Steve’s wedding ceremony at Cheekwood took place in the Japanese Garden, offering a peaceful, intimate setting for their heartfelt vows. Afterward, they hosted cocktail hour in the bamboo forest. The entire day was filled with relaxed, joyful energy, exactly the kind of vibe I love to document.

For their reception, guests gathered at Emmy Squared in Green Hills, one of Nashville’s best pizza spots. Their Detroit-style pizza, especially the Colony House, is a personal favorite of mine! The cozy, family-style dinner was the perfect ending to a laid-back yet elegant day.

As someone who now calls this city home, I feel so grateful to work as a wedding photographer in Nashville and capture meaningful moments for couples like Ginny and Steve. Their love story, set against the beautiful backdrop of one of Nashville’s most iconic wedding venues, was truly something special. Congratulations, Ginny and Steve!
