Chimney Pond Farms Highlands, NC Wedding || Courtney & Corey

Courtney and Corey had a lovely intimate wedding last fall in Highlands, NC at Chimney Pond Farms and I was honored to capture their wedding weekend. When Courtney reached out to me I knew that her and Corey were an immediate fit for everything that a GVH Couple encompasses. On my inquiry form that she filled out, she made it exceedingly clear that photography and how their wedding weekend was captured was a top priority- this of course was music to my ears! Courtney and Corey chose to get married at the stunning Chimney Pond Farms in Highlands, NC. Chimney Pond Farms overlooks Lake Glenville and is a former Christmas Tree Farm, as you can see above the fall colors and views at the farm are truly one of a kind. One of my favorite things about intimate weddings is how it gives my couples the chance to savor their wedding day and really spend time with their loved ones. Courtney started off their wedding day getting ready with her mom, maid of honor Marisa, and grandmother and I loved how calm she was during the entire process. Marisa made Courtney the sweetest gift where she collected handwritten notes with words of advice from all the important people in Courtney and Corey’s life and compiled it into an album engraved with their wedding date.

Courtney & Corey had a simple, but sweet ceremony where they had their two dogs Honey and Hopper escorted down the aisle to see their pawrents get married! Because their wedding had a small guestlist we were able to have an abundance of portrait time to explore all around the farm- I don’t know that I’ve ever had a wedding at Chimney Pond Farm where the leaves were more vibrant than they were that day. Courtney and Corey shared an intimate first dance porch side at the Farm House and then each of their family members were able to stand up and say a few words about the newlyweds. We ended their day with sunset portraits at the Hilltop House and some slow dancing with their parents and grandparents. I loved capturing this sacred weekend for Courtney and Corey- it was perfect and true to who they are as a couple from start to finish.
