Chestnut Ridge Celestial Winter Styled Shoot

Do you love all things Celestial + Bohemian?! Then this Celestial Winter Styled Shoot shot at Chestnut Ridge will be the shoot of your dreams! It should come as no surprise by now that I am a boho lover, a flower child at heart. With the popularity of celestial elements for weddings this year, I wanted to do a shoot that incorporated those things. I immediately knew that Chestnut Ridge, where I am a preferred vendor, was the perfect place for this shoot to come to life. One of my favorite things about weddings now is that the playbook has been thrown out! Your wedding can be anything you want it to be and in fact playing by your own rules of what you find beautiful is what will make your wedding special. Not all couples love pastels or all things fairytale, although if you do love those things, you do you! This shoot was a chance for myself and the other vendors to use a darker color palette. And it was a blast to explore this theme with the talented vendors who did the shoot.

Don’t even get me started on the long sleeved lace wedding dress that Wildflower Bridal provided for the shoot-it was perfection! The marbled effect combined with the calligraphy on the invitation Bethany designed, lent an air of mysterious appeal. The constellation wedding cake + desserts with its deep blues and gold foil swirls was just dreamy. I must say that my childhood teepee building skills came in quite handy for this shoot!! We wanted to create the grown up version of a hideaway-a place where you could sit a spell and stare at the stars. The lush florals that Dottie created were a lovely contrast to the winter backdrop. Completing the shoot was our amazing models, who are a married couple in real life- Juliya and Mike!! This shoot nearly didn’t even happen due to the snow, but after rescheduling once, we were all able to make it to the venue safely and pull off this beautiful shoot and I am so happy with the outcome.
