Sue + Brian Black Balsam Engagement Session

Ok…I know, I know two Black Balsam sessions in a row, but I just couldn’t help myself and when you see the photos from Sue and Brian’s Black Balsam Engagement Session you’ll understand why. Sue, found me of all places, through instagram! Brian and Sue are getting married at The Cabin Ridge next year and they found me through the venue hashtag. A direct instagram message and website inquiry later and we both knew it was meant to be.

Sue and Brian drove up from Florida for their engagement session with me. And I’m not going to lie having a couple come so far just for a session with me felt amazing! We drove up to Black Balsam and ten minutes from the entrance it started raining. Knowing the distance they had travelled, I was throwing my hands up in the air at the weather’s timing, but again it was all meant to be. The rain created the most beautiful, dreamy fog that completely added to the mood of their session.

Sue is from San Diego and Brian has lived all over, including Colorado! Brian was loving the cooler weather and Sue whilst not loving how cold it felt, handled it all with a smile. I think Sue’s modelling experience shone through because she was freezing and still managed to appear at ease. Sue and Brian are avid Game of Thrones fans, like myself, and the whole session time we felt like we were in a scene from the show with the fog, and stunning mountain surroundings. If their epic engagement session is any inkling as to how amazing their wedding is going to be, then I can’t wait!
