Sue and Brian’s Cabin Ridge Wedding was what my boho dreams are made of! I could really tell all of the time and attention to detail that Sue and the team of vendors she assembled had paid to get her vision just right. I first met Sue and Brian last fall when they drove up from Florida to Asheville for their engagement session in the mountains. I shot their session at Black Balsam and in true mountain fashion, it ended up being foggy and rainy that day…which actually made for some really cool, moody shots. I promised them that I wouldn’t bring the same weather to their wedding day and thankfully I was able to keep my word. Sue and Brian chose to read their own vows to each other during their first look. Their may have been a curse word or two (in true Sue fashion 🙂 , but both of their vows were filled with so much heart and authenticity. Sue and Brian were just effortlessly themselves on their wedding day from their barefoot ceremony to tequila shots during the marriage license signing. Sue is a free spirit and Brian is an adventurous soul. In the words of Sue’s sister, Brian lets Sue be Sue, he doesn’t try to change her, he loves and supports her for who she is. And in turn Sue gives Brian the adventure and fun he craves! Cheers to this fun Cinco De Mayo Bohemian wedding!
