Ferris + Derek Looking Glass Falls Elopement

I got the email from Ferris about her and Derek’s Looking Glass Falls Elopement when Stephen and I were in Mexico. I knew I wanted to be apart of it and broke my “no email on vacation,” rule to immediately email her back and tell her so! Sometimes you can just tell when people are good people and I could immediately tell that about Ferris and Derek. They made me feel super special because they drove all the way from Florida to elope at Looking Glass Falls! First we met up at the very cool, Peak & Creeks Brewing Company….a kitschy new brewery in the Brevard Lumberyard District. I wish I could take credit for this idea, but it all rest in the hands of Joslyn from Lavender Fox Florals. Who IS amazing by the way!! I really loved the whimsical touch she brought to Ferris’s bouquet and flower crown. After Ferris and Derek sharing a couple local beers at Peaks & Creeks and of course having a few photo ops, we all loaded into our cars and drove to Looking Glass. Ferris and Derek were married by their close friend and although it is the height of summer, we got lucky and there weren’t a ton of people at the falls. After saying their vows, the waterfall cleared out and we were able to go wade into the water for some romantic photos. You have to love a couple who is willing to get in a waterfall in their wedding clothes! I already know that Ferris & Derek are off to a beautiful adventurous start!
