I always have a hard time keeping things under wraps, especially when it’s a gorgeous Max Patch Elopement like Jordyn and Jesse’s. Today their elopement was published over on Wandering Weddings, you can check that out here: https://wanderingweddings.com/blog/luxe-boho-elopement-in-max-patch-nc-jordyn-jesse/ Which means that, drumroll, I finally am able to share it on here! Jordyn and Jesse have known each other since they were little kids, two years ago the timing was just right and they were back together. The rest as they say is history. Jordyn and Jesse both have Cherokee heritage so it was only natural that they would want to get married in the mountains they grew up in. Neither of them envisioned a big wedding and their hope was to keep their elopement simple with only a few close family and friends there to witness their vows. On an overcast March day they hiked up Max Patch and on the side of the mountain before their ceremony, read private letters they had written for each other. A close family friend was their officiant and the minute the ceremony ended, a brilliant sunshine popped up from behind the clouds as a way of agreeing that these two are meant to be together.
An amazing team of vendors came together to make this elopement a possibility, I am so grateful for each of them. And shoutout to my mom who was my assistant for the day, all those kickboxing + spin classes came in handy when she was helping me, Jesse (from Vintage Indigo), and Katie haul vintage furniture up the trail. You will notice that in these photos we did not light the candles on the table, this was a conscious decision as we felt it would be safest for the mountain if we did not light something that had the potential of blowing over and starting a fire.
